The handsome new collection of watches from Replica Cartier Montre speaks volumes of the brand's watchmaking know-how
For more than 100 years, http://www.buyijoy.com/replica-cartier-pasha.html has been in the business of watchmaking. The Parisian luxury giant traces its own history in this segment to 1904, when Louis Cartier designed a wristwatch for the legendary aviator Bruno Santos-Dumont, and pays tribute to it with the self-winding calibre 1904 MC and an entirely new collection of watches: the Calibre de Cartier. The new movement is laudable but why a new collection for a brand that already has plenty of successful watch models?
The mighty Santos, for example, is as big and bold as can be and is inspired by and named for the watch Louis High Quality Replica Watches created in 1904 but the company wanted something different; something with a decidedly different cachet and exclusivity but beyond the idea of a limited edition. Calibre 1904 MC emerged after years of research from Cartier's manufacture at La Chaux de Fonds in Switzerland and is a representation of the brand's vision for itself as a mainstream maker of watches for men. This is of course as opposed to being a niche producer of haute horlogerie statement pieces for the fortunate few.
In other words, Cartier wanted a collection that featured only mechanical movements, was designed specifically for men and was broad enough to appeal to successful professionals. The Calibre de Cartier is all of these things.
At the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, the storied luxury brand revealed the full force of this vision. At 42mm and slimmer than recent iterations of the Santos, Tank, Pasha and Rotonde, Cartier is clearly expressing its design savvy to show that bigger is not necessarily more masculine. Note that the lugs on this watch make it exceedingly wearable, even for men with modest wrists. With the Calibre de Cartier, the brand delivers a classically minded watch, with contemporary ambitions and pure watchmaking sensibilities.
Speaking of which, Calibre de Cartier's 11 1/2 ligne calibre 1904 MC self-winding movement is the brand's first manufacture self-winding mechanism. It features a slew of improvements over the garden-variety ETA clone mechanisms, including ceramic ball bearings, twin mainspring barrels and the use of a pawl system over reversers for the bi-directional winding system.
The upper and lower bridges feature Cotes de Geneve decorations, as does the oscillating weight, while the main plate features circular graining.
Calibre de Cartier is available in steel, pink gold or a combination of the two. Three dial variants are possible at this time: black, white or chocolate brown. This is the most basic option for this model, with the watch showing hours, minutes, small seconds and date (via the aperture at 3 o clock). Of course, all the traditional Cartier cues are here, from the use of Roman numerals to the sapphire or spinel cabochon on the crown.
